I've just posted an extra photo and it still looks brilliant, even using the flash. Excellent. |

Thank's for the tip about applying extra black PVC tape around the remaining red area (sides), gray52.
I decided to do mine as well, only took 5 mins and it's now all sealed around the sides. |

It's doesn't really need pictures. Just hold the complete LED strip and stick some black PVC tape all around the red edge after affixing the HONDA/CIVIC mask to the LED lens (instructions with lens mask). I held the end of the tape under my thumb and pulled the tape all around before cutting off. One point to note though: The plug on the fly lead to the LED is in held in place by a VERY small concealed latch and it difficult to find initially. The plug body remains in place on the LED unit you only have to remove the fly lead plug on the power supply wire. I mention this as there is also a latch that removes the complete plug from the LED unit, but still leaves it all connected. PS: You will find a little excess to the mask. I did NOT cut this off as it laps slightly over the lens edge (smooth over the edge after ensuring all/any air bubbles are squeezed out). This enables the black PVC tape to cover neatly giving a light-proof seal Last edited by allan40alt; 2nd May 2008 at 11:43. Reason: added PS: |

Ok, thanks a lot for the info, one question though, that black PVC tape you are mentioning, is that just ordinary electrician isolation tape? If it isn't, any chance to post a pic of/link to it? |

Hi Gerry, that's no problem. I'll change mine back and you can set yours up. After all, it is yourself that any enquiries should be directed to. Good luck. Al. |
