18" Storms Possibly for sale

Hi all

Just wondering if anyone might be interested in some 18" Storms I have? They are in pretty ok condition, but have been curbed a little.

What I'm looking for in return is just the normal Civic 17" Alloy's and possibly a little bit of money? But I'm open to offers! Keep it clean please!

Of course we'd have to arrange for the wheels to be exchanged as well.

Anyone interested, please shout - you know where I am!

Moo!

How many miles have they done? And have you got any pics of the damage?

They've only done 7,000 miles, as for the pics I hope to get some by the weekend. I don't think the damage is anything major, they had it when I originally bought the car (not of course saying that I haven't added to it though ).

I will have the pic's up by Saturday, if I can work out how to do it - I was a bit confused by the instructions, but I'm sure I'll do it somehow! If I can't I'll email people who want them.

Cheers

Dan

At last - the photo's are here!

Hi All

Here's the photo's of the Storms - basically what I've done is take the worst possible view of all the kerb marks so that you can make your own mind up. Can I also say that the photo's actually make the wheels look a LOT worse than they actually are!

Chaps, bear in mind that although they're kerbed, they're not going to be any worse than if they were pristine and you let your wife drive for an afternoon.

Seriously though, if you've got 17" wheels and are considering swapping to 18", DO IT! They don't come about very often and let's face it, they're gonna pick up some damage anyway sooner or later.

One thing to note though, the driving characteristics do change quite considerably. You'll find less roll in the corners, but you'll also feel every pothole and undulation in the road. Tyre noise will be "different" too. Plus in my experience, the car is more likely to "tramline" i.e. follow camber and ruts in the road.

Cosmetically, 18" wheels seem to fill the massive black expanse that the wheelarch + plastic trim consire together to make.

Great if you've got good/half decent roads in your area. V.Bad if most of your road usage is over poor surfaces.

I would really love to but the marks would drive me mad, I'd have to get them fixed - which from experience isn't a cheapy task!
And most of my driving is on country lanes so perhaps it's best I keep with my 17s.

Not a problem - thanks for that Mac, as I said the marks aren't really as bad as they look on the pictures, I just didn't want to mislead anyone. The only real way to see how they look is to actually see them for real.

But thanks anyway.
