SOLD: New OEM wheels

Hi guys.

Anyone interested in a brand new set of wheels - 17 or 18 picked up from your local dealer?
I've been offered a bit of a deal for a replacement set for my Accord's woefully corroded Epsilons ('52 plate Exec) but I would much rather prefer a completely different set of wheels.
So, as there's no postage involved, only a drive to your nearest Honda dealership to collect, what say you?

I'm sure you all know by now the 17's are £650 and the 18's £850, not including tyres.
I'm open to reasonable offers - was thinking along the lines of £475 and £650 respectively.

Been lurking the odd time for a while now, since I spend my time in www.thaoc.co.uk for obvious reasons - but figured I should actually join.

Cheers chaps (and chapesses)

I am not sure I understand this, so if I am wrong please forgive me.
I am trying to get a set of 18" Blades, are you saying that you can get a set of new wheels, without tyres, for £650 from my local dealer??
I might be very interested.

Yes, in a nutshell.
HUK CS have offered my a replacement set of wheels for my badly corroded '03 Accord's Epsilons.
Been toing a froing on what ones to get, as I much prefer the Legend chrome look ones rather than what's available in the Accord list, but HUK wouldn't supply direct due to not having been type approved for the Accord.
So, been looking at various other 3rd party wheels (lighter as well) and so selling these on to someone who wants them makes the most sense and lets me get what I want.
All the buyer needs do is tell me which dealer they nominate to pick them up from, and I organise it with HUK for the wheels to go there.

Nothing confirmed yet by Foggy - I'll offer that if there's nothing concrete by midnight tonight, then you get first dibs.

Hi PJSkel
Who would I pay for the wheels, yourself or the dealer.
If I have to pay you, do you have a Paypal account?
Cheers

Myself, yes.
Paypal - if you cover the fees or save a few ££ doing a bank transfer since your banks do free transfers, IIRC.
I'll need to just confirm the Blades are available as an option, since they are a Civic specific wheel.
Let me speak with HUK CS

Got your message - I'll extend the deadline 'til tomorrow night since you've no access this evening and I'm only able now to reply back on Honda's position.
Basically, I'm restritced by them to what's in the Accord brochure, and sadly that excludes the Blades.
If you let me know which dealer you were planning on using, then I will contact them and see if they can organise a swap for the Blades that you or other interested parties may prefer.
Sorry guys, but HUK are being a bit less than generous on type, but then they have been waiting for me to decide since November - so mustn't complain too much!

Sorry for the delay guys - it's going to be Monday before I know whether Redhill and HUK CS will work with me or against me.
Life's never simple or straight forward, is it? :sigh:

As this is causing you a lot of grief, and I believe that Civie is interested in a set that is listed for the Accord, please can you check to see if Civie would like to take up your offer.
Thanks for your help.

I'll wait and see what transpires on Monday, then if it's status quo, Civie is in line to take the 17" option.
I'm trying to be as fair as possible to all concerned.
Have you seen the Blades (and Storms/Altimos) on a Civic?
There's plenty of images here

Foggy, looks like it's no go on the Blades, and to compound things, HUK CS have restricted me to the 18's since that's what I was initially after (Storms) before learning what other 3rd party wheels there were that would work with the Accord.
Even tried Chiswick since they're a bigger dealer than Redhill.
So, sorry for getting your hopes up unless the Altimo or Storms are of interest.

Civie - all I can do is apologise profusely for this turn of events - don't suppose the Altimos or Storms interest you?

Are you definetly restricted to the 18"
My car has standard 16 s and my dealer informs me that the max i can upgrade to is the 17" Due to suspention set up etc, Secondly my budget was just under the £500 mark

I've looked in the brochure, and there does seem to be limits on the options.
The SE and ES show 16's with option for 17's, and Sport and EX show 17's with option for 18's.
So it looks like the dealer was spot on about the suspension. Funny that, as I'd have thought all were exactly the same.

I'll speak with HUK CS once more to see if they will re-offer the 17's. Which dealer would you want to pick up from, Civie?

Thanks for trying PJSkel.
Unfortunately, although the Altimo and Storms are great looking wheels, I don't really think they are any better than the standard wheels.
I will hope that Civie has a bit more luck, although it doesn't look good

Yep, as far as I'm aware the cars with 16" alloys can only upgrade to 17" (no more) and the cars with 17" alloys as standard can only upgrade to 18".
