FS: Civic EX 2.2 CDTI
Due to a change in jobs and a company car arriving very soon, it's time to sell my Civic. I bought the car in July 2006, so it's an 06 plate EX in Nighthawk Black, fitted with the optional 18 inch Altimos. I'm currently waiting for Honda to supply a replacement set due to the common issue of the laquer falling off, so the car will be sold with 4 brand new wheels!
Because of my work, the car has covered a higher than usual milage, so it's booked in for the 37500 mile service next week, and will be sold after the service is carried out, so the new owner will know that nothing needs doing for the next 12500 miles. Mileage will be pretty much bang on 37500 by the end of nect week when I stop using it. I had the car remapped by Celtic Tuning about 20K miles ago, so it now drives like it always should have done - much smoother and faster than stock. The difference is instantly noticeable. I've upgraded the front speakers with Infinty 6512s, so it also sounds much better. The Bluetooth HFT has been modified by me (I'm an Electronics Engineer) and now works 100% perfectly, after Honda had 3 attempts at it which were no better than it was originally. There is one tiny parking dent on the passenger door, hugely annoying as I alwasy park away from other cars, yet someone has still managed to dent it. It's very small, and would probably be a minor thing to sort. I'll get some pictures up once the weather picks up enough to do it... Cost new with the wheels, remap etc about £19500, so save yourself £6K, and don't forget, 90,000 miles warranty on Honda's. £13,500 ono |

I'm sure you would! Especially when Honda are only listing 2 '06 EX's, without the wheels, in less desirable colours, and with no remap (but fewer miles) at £15,500 and £16,000.
Given the mileage (which of course actually matters not one bit in reality), the price seems really quite good to me. |

Thanks Pottsy, I think it's a pretty fair asking price considering the current prices I see other cars selling for. I can get more than 9.5K by taking it to any Honda dealer

You didn't choose a Civic as your Company Car? Low CO2= less tax.
What did you choose instead. I opted out of my car scheme to buy a Civic, and the of course the fact that I'm better off by £100 per month! |

In my job I'm just leaving, I opted out of the scheme and bought the Civic, as it worked out cheaper in the long run. They have a lease scheme where you can have pretty much anything, and it would have meant me having to pay a fair bit of money on top for the Civic. In hindsight, this might not have been the best choice, as the Civic values have dropped more than I expected, however I wanted a Civic, and my loss is someone elses gain. Also when I bought the Civic, there was very little discount available from ther dealers, due to demand, whereas buying one now, I'm sure I could have saved a bit of cash and negotiated a better price.
In my new job, I'm getting an Audi A6! I could have had the Civic, but when they offered me the Audi, even though it will cost a fair bit more in tax every month, I couldn't really say no... |
