Swap or Sell

I have a NHB ES first registered on the 26th January 2007. Car has just completed 6.000 miles.
Now while me and OH were away on the weekend we come across a pre reg Type R in NHB which I wet myself over. If I could sell my ES privately anybody got a reasonable idea what would be a best price to expect
I did look at the web buyer.com but I reall am not into comedy.

Whatever you do, do not trade in thru Honda, based on my experience today!

In spite of my previous post and my hate for all Honda dealers at this very moment (!), I would give Honda a go first mate, you may have more luck than me! Your model may be more sellable. Apparently, I am screwed because the 2.5k worth of extras I put on it make it less desirable...go figure. Also, Honda are doing an "initiative" on new Type S models.which means used values will be lower. Fair enough,but 13500 with that spec? Do me a f***ing favour!
Other than that, the only way to go is a private sale which is obviously a royal pain in the ass.
Whatever u decide, let us know how you get on...and keep living the dream! I will...but not till next year by the look of it!

Just checked the webuyanycar price for my ES, not that I am thinking of selling at the moment and was not impressed. Over £2000 less than the What Car figure for a dealer part exchange, let alone a private sale.
