Just lift the front edge and you can then pull out the filter.
Really easy

Seems to be loads of resistance when I take the clips off and try and open it up?

Don't open it, slide the filter out, if it's like last cas the panel slides out from the side rather than opening the whole box.

Spoke to Pipercross this morning. They answered all of my questions and concerns without blinking, which is good. Also, they're part of Filtration Control Ltd, who are a big manufacturer of air filters for industry, buses, trains etc... So they should know what they're doing. Also, they supply WRC & Formula 1, which is nice I suppose.

I'm taking the car to them on March 25th, they'll take some measurements of the filter and the airbox. From that, they need to have the toolings made, which takes 6 weeks. Then they can actually make a filter, which they'll try in my car.

I'll report back as to how things progress, like I've indicated before, I'm a bit of a nay-sayer to filter upgrades and am looking forward to having my mind changed!
