5 Door Civic - Original Door Garnish
Hi Pekwah1, Thanks for your interest. Sorry, but these are the original normal black plastic mouldings which I had replaced with the rather nicer imitation stainless steel, (but still plastic I think) mouldings prior to my collecting the new Civic. Someone may have use of them because they can get scratched and marked.

Hi Brodick, The original dark grey plastic trims are held in place by plastic lugs. All four plates/sill guards are gently prised off the bottom of the sill and it is those I now have for sale. The replacement stainless steel (s/s) effect sill guards are located over where the originals sat and obviously cover the lug holes. The s/s effect sill guards are much thinner in profile. I do not know whether the s/s effect sill guards again use plastic lugs or whether they are fixed by an adhesive pad to the sill. I seem to recollect from a thread some time ago that the s/s ones are fixed by some form of adhesive, but I have to agree with Al that they look rather nice, in fact a 'wow' factor!

And quite rightly, Robbo and Unknownsoldier. The three door Type S and R Civics, with their trim, in my opinion, have a greater 'wow' factor than the 5 door models. However, as one goes through the cycle of life, as you will discover, one's requirements and priorities change, unfortunately. Enjoy your motors while you can.
