For me:-

Anytime in the Summer, really …

Stavanger would be good - but a bit extreme for everyone else …

Bergen or Trondheim perhaps …

I'LL BE THERE …

According to Google maps (how accurate are their driving times in Norway?), Stavanger and Bergen are about the same time for me, Trondheim is surprisingly 2 or so hours shorter.

Google Maps \ Google Earth are pretty accurate in Norway - on a long trip, heavy traffic can slow you up a little - I usually take perhaps 10% less time, but plan on the median of the Google and Honda SatNav prognoses ...

Trondheim is good for Swedes - straight 3 hour 'burst' from Östersund ...

So, take a Friday off from work to drive up, meet on the Saturday and drive back on the Sunday.

Would that work for people?

I've 'done' Trondheim from Stavanger, in one day before, and it's pretty gruelling in the roads here (Summer holidays are FULL of bloody motorhomes on the road !), not to mention all the goddamned ferries - so, I'll possibly make it a 1.5 day trip (leave here Thursday afternoon) ...

Either way, meet on Saturday is good for me - and as you pointed out last year, this time we MUST have the "shock and awe" tour around town !!! ...

I'll be the owner of a Skoda at that time...! But if that is accepted, I could possibly make it.

Maybe I should stay out of JDR's "shock and awe" tour around town thought...

Both Bergen and Trondheim could work. Trondheim is a bit of a drive even though its not that far away by air, but thats ok. Its a road trip after all

Early July can work for me as far as i know right now. Late July early August i got a trip to Italy if everything goes to plan. Work starts again 15.08.

2nd is a bit too early for me (back from vacation in Spain at 04.00 AM the 2nd), but I guess you spaceship owners should have the last word on this...

I can move it to the next weekend. No problems for me. I can adjust so as many people can come.
