It's like a classic B-Movie

'Once a humble Ladybird, accidently exposed to the gamma radiation of a Civic rear light cluster, LADYBIRDTM mutated overnight, finally escaping with one flap of it's now enormous wings...'

Can you tell I was struggling on that one?

Nice pic though Wooly!

Andrea,

Try: User CP, this then lists some recent subscriptions, but look at the bottom right and click "View all subscribed threads". Now you can see all subscriptions and change the notification type, delete them or whatever...

The drop down option in your preferences that says "no notification" doesn't cancel existing subscriptions, it just pre-fills in the field on new replies.

Let me know if that doesn't fix it.

I think.

I'm getting notifications fot this thread for example, and I'm not sure why

Although I may have replied to it before changing my profile to not subscribe as default

just need to remember how to unsubscibe now - found the place that lists all subscriptions ( 7 of them)...

aha - pre-edit - went to hit 'submit reply' and noticed the 'thread subscription' bit just below

Don't you feel a div when you suddenly find the very thing you wished you could do and it's been staring you in the face .

This new site is great but I kept wishing there was an easier way of leaving a thread and returning to the main Civinfo screen, rather than going down to 'Forum Jump' then selecting ....etc...

All the time I could just have clicked on the Civinfo>Welcome>Site Suggestions....etc that is under the 'Post Reply' button .

Well, the more you play with something then the more you find out .

Allan, to be fair that link thing has only been there for a day or so. It's not a standard part of vbulletin, but I did the mod for RR (and I use it all the time now!)

Change!

Yahoo! Slurp is Yahoo!'s web-indexing robot.

The Yahoo! Slurp crawler collects documents from the Web to build a searchable index for search services using the Yahoo! search engine.

Hi Jazz, I asked this question last week. This was the answer:

Oops - this is Pottsy, not Jayne.

Must confess to liking and missing the colourful and informative icons - easy enough to switch them off when in work or select an alternative view.

As for being the same as other forums - I thought we were different
?????

Hey, thas only my opinion and in truth I love the site. In appreciation to all your efforts I have ordered my sticker.

Good work, well done!

I was in two minds - but now you have the choice (I love this software!). Have a look at the bottom left of any page and you can see the "Style chooser" thingy.

In Control Panel, Edit Options, right at the bottom you can choose your default style.

Cheers for that Pottsy! It saves at least 2 seconds of reading being able to click directly on the icon.

Out of interest; do you know where the setting is kept? Cookie or against the user? Because if it's a cookie you can have one style at work and one at home quite neatly!
