Another server outage, Thurs 21st
Down for 40 mins - sorry about that. Don't know what the issue was, but I guess they restarted the box having done some tweaking, following some nasty slow-downs we've been having in the evenings.

I know the feeling - this place gets me too!
On the subject though - this new software (vbulletin) has nearly halved my bandwidth, because it compresses normal pages on their way to you. Also makes it a bit faster - I love it! |

I've been having terrible problems in the evenings with lag with civinfo over the last three days, however it has been fine from work during the day.
I'm at home at the moment and whilst it is still laggy it is faster than it was. |

I’ve just tested my BT connection to civinfo and its fine; I suspect it could be the NTL network too as they are upgrading a lot of stuff this week across the country Also have you been testing a new home page, as just now it was radically different to the normal one |

Yes - a new home page. Really didn't like the static old one.
Being in Houston we are always at the mercy of the transatlantic connection, and also Google won't list us when you select "from the UK only". On the case now, but this will mean a small bit of downtime as it's swapped over, and if there's one thing that really gets to me, it's downtime |
