It's OK - we can now mention the "other" site - www.2talkabout.com

Because...

It has gone altogether. I guess they won't be launching any more legal action against me now!

And the answer from me is "other" - pressed Upload on FileZilla and there it was before my very eyes!

I remember the phone call from these clowns, threatening me with legal action. Clueless NuMedia nonsense.

Why were they threatening you? What was their complaint?

I've had previous experience when a few individuals threatend the committee of a car club over forum posts before. Not very nice and damn right annoying.

Most of the time it was just handbags and petty, however there were a few solicitor's involved with some of the shenanigans.

A thread on this site was called 2talkabout.com, and it was discussion of their site, and how inflexible it was at the time.

They claimed that this was "evidence" that we were attempting to "pass off" as their site, in a way in which would cause confusion to users "looking" to find their site.

It was beyond nonsense, and it might have helped if they'd bothered to read the law on such matters before throwing around accusations.

One of the phone calls interrupted my cricket training, and I wasn't happy about that.

I take it I'm allowed to say it was rubbish anyway? I spent about 5minutes on it then topgear magazine kindly directed me your way. Some may wish I had never bought that issue!

Thing is, the site could have been alright. It was certainly quite popular at first. The community died because they tried to control it too much, and a blog is totally the wrong format for that sort of site.

2Talkabout

Numerous references on 2Talkabout Honda by such contributors as Allan40alt (hope I got that right!) and others, who referred to threads on Civinfo when I was in "information search mode"

I found this site by accident, I wasn't purposely looking for a Civic forum, I didn't even know dedicated forums for car owners exisited. I've owned a Subaru Impreza for 7 years and have only found out after coming here that they have a forum out there on the t'internet, wish I wish I new 6 1/2 years ago.
