Why when you highlight the newest member does their number and the number of registered users differ, for example, hold the mouse over Jobo in the newest member and it has member249 at the end of the url, yet the page says 245 members.

Because some members have changed their name.

Or registered twice by mistake and we've deleted one registration entry.
Or some people use forums to get a link to their website (to boost search engine results) in the memberlist page. Only had one so far, but these accounts can also get zapped.
