Button Missing

The 'EDIT' button seems to have slipped off the page.

Is this accidental or are we not getting a chance to change our mind once we hit the 'Submit' button?

Are perhaps only supporters allowed to edit?
I can still edit.

This thread:
Buy CivInfo stickers and support the site

says:

These are the privileges at the moment:
  • A user changeable title (it defaults to "supporter" but you can put what you like in there).
  • Use of the chatbox (under trial at the moment).
  • An extra "private forum" for supporters only.
  • Useful and exclusive DIY info.
  • No advertisements in the forum listing in the Buying section.
  • Your username appears red and in italics.
  • The ability to delete your own posts (you are now "trusted").
  • You can move threads you started.
  • A PM mailbox limit up from 100 to 500 PMs.
  • The option to have a larger avatar (125 x 150)
  • No little Civinfo watermark on posted pictures.
  • You will see when users were last online in threads.
  • Other stuff I haven't thought of yet.
Nothing about editing..
So, maybe this is new?
Or a bug?

Editing capabilities were taken away from non-supporters.

Looking for a simple solution...

At one stage, non-supporters were allowed to edit posts for a certain duration after posting them (to correct speeling mestakes etc), whereas supporters can edit whenever

But that all got a bit messy, so Pottsy has had to turn off edit for non-supporters.

seeing as how it's come up a few times...

Link to your user profile and select the 'paid subscriptions' option
http://www.civinfo.com/forum/payments.php

you can choose to become a supporter (and get all the benefits that come with that, along with the warm glowing feeling that you are helping towards the cost of maintaining this great site )

You can also choose how many stickers (if any) you want

more detail in the sticky thread in here
Buy CivInfo stickers and support the site

Its getting like those Labour guys when you used to have to pay your money to get a peerage.

No one pays me to write on this site, I don't want that.

If Pottsy's in it for the money?

£4 to edit my own posts?

Tha'ts most of whats left in me pension!

LOL - Pottsy is in it to cover his costs!

Unfortunately, hosting a forum such as this does not come cheap

The £4 or £5 from each of the members on here who wish to contribute (which gives you supporter status for 20 years by the way) just means that Pottsy is not as much out of pocket each month as he would otherwise be.

But no one is forcing anyone to become a supporter

But on the flip side, those who do wish to become one do get extra benefits

To edit my own posts you are!

That's all I want to do.

I've even had Pottsy calling me dim but I'm still here!

I've pushed out dozens, maybe hundreds of flyers, that I'd paid for.

I'm not asking for handouts!
