If anyone needs any paintwork done in Sussex....

Washington Coachworks :: Insurance Approved Specialist Crash Repair Centre in Sussex ::

I had a bit of an experience with getting quotes for some paintwork.

I phoned to get the price of the city pack (door protectors and front and rear bumper guards) plus a spoiler painted in Galaxy Grey and a phone call to DB bodyworks in crawley quoted me £150

I went there without the spoiler and they tried charging me £200!

I contacted Washington coachworks, emailed them what needed doing and they are coming in at £50 + vat so they get my recommendation.

They are also the same place that is used by my local Honda dealership.

I'll second that recommendation, i've actually used Washington, guy called Neil runs the show, very nice chap, certainly knows his onions too!

My previous ride was a 1999 Audi S4 (V6 BiTurbo) with ebony black pearlescent paintwork (notoriously hard to work on apparently) in which i had an unfortunate incident with an inconsiderate RangeRover driver... long story short, near side rear quarter (rear wing and rear door) had some nasty scuffs and scrape.. down to the metal in places.

Took it in to see Neil and his crew and they looked at it, quoted me 200 notes plus VAT, i dropped it off a few days later, they did the work, and they did a 1st class job too.

When i went to pick it up however they proceeded to show me what they found when they were repairing it... some nasty looking previous accident damage that had been bodged and hidden under filler and fresh paint! (he took some pics of the it on a digicam while they were working on it and showed them to me).

I could see that they'd not only fixed my scrape but also made good the badly bodged job they'd found underneath. When i asked how much extra that was going to cost i was informed it wouldn't cost anything extra, they'd quoted me a price to make it all right and that's what they were going to stick to!

I Would have no hesitation in recommending them.

(Also when i was in the workshop they had a plethora of old school lambourghini's in on full restoration programs!.. a gorgeous purple Diablo and a couple of countache's... wonderful looking machines!)
