Good stuff, used autoglym plastic care over the top to give a glossy finish

i used a sponge as i found it left brush marks using a paintbrush,
i would recommend masking around the wheel arches as you can then do one sweeping arc with the sponge creating the best finish without having to worry bout marking the paintwork..

Just take your time with it and you will get a nice finish, took me about 2 hours including masking up.

Looking good mate, really makes a big difference.

Someone else applied the dye using a sponge but they dabbed it on a small section at a time, said it looked fine. I couldn't get the sponge to apply it right at all, I found it was wiping off and smudging, what kind of sponge did you use as this would be a handy way of applying it.

Yeah that could work, as it would soften the sponge as well.

I'm just wondering why so many people report doing the honeycomb?

On my car the plastic is grey but the honeycomb is black.

BTW I'm still awaiting official news on the Gtechniq tests but I tried myself with a spot on the inside of my wheely bin this afternoon because I was getting bored with waiting.

My experience was it acted as a solvent and fetched the plasticare straight back off, so it may well be that Plasticare + Turtle Wax is the the best combo unless Gtechniq decided to produce a black version of their chemical in which case Plasticare will be redundant.

Just a question, how do you use these? I know you use a brush etc and back to back. But do you use it straight out of the bottle or mix it with some water? (I know, silly as it sounds.)
