Type R spoiler ?

I'm having trouble tracking down a Type R spoiler to go on my type s and I'm getting pretty bored of looking now to be honest. Lol.

Has anyone bought and fitted one of the copies from fleebay and could comment it they're any good or not ? Cheers

First, put a wanted ad. in the wanted section.

Then, check ebay everyday and choose 'newly added' - there's one on there at the moment but it's in Lithuania, they come up fairly often.

Failing that, ring cox motor parts or holdcroft honda and buy one new!

I've been living on flebay and set up notifications to tell me when a new item has been listed but still no joy.

Is the fibreglass copy a definite no go zone then ?

TBH I don't know, I would avoid it myself.

They come up on here quite often, keep checking the for sale section.

I recently crashed in to the back of someone and needed a front grill, I put a wanted ad. on and within a couple of days someone local sold me one for a good price.. It's worth a try.

I had a wanted ad for a few months then got one - they do sometimes come up on eBay (look for cars being broken; not just spoilers!) and on the forum too.

Persevere as you can get a genuine one 2nd hand in great condition for the same price as the fibreglass one.

I'll stick something in the wanted section when I get home. I tried before but it was taken down, something's about some text missing that should be there but I did it on tapatalk so didn't realise.

How much should I expect to pay for a type r OEM spoiler if ya don't mind me asking ?

Around the £80-£120 mark IIRC, depending on condition etc.

Nice one mate. *****. The search continues.

Would this fit a 08 type s anybody?

http://item.mobileweb.ebay.co.uk/vie...id=14421032220

I know it says 09-11 but I'm unsure of any differences to the 08.

Cheers

The line that was missing is:

I have read the trading rules and will follow them to the letter.

(Read the trading rules - there's not many)

That will fit. All of the Type-R spoilers will match the Type-S on the 8G.

Another thing to try is call call a load of breakers yards to see if they have any Type R's they are breaking. Also, search eBay for 'breaking honda civic type r' and usually there are a couple of yards that have an advert for wheel nuts for example but say that many parts are available and that you need to call to find out what's left on the car. I found a lot of my trim pieces by doing the latter. Example;

06 10 HONDA CIVIC 2.0 TYPE R FN2 BUMPER FRONT ENGINE GRILL BREAKING SPARES PART | eBay

However, that said, I got my Type R spoiler from here by being quick!

Good luck and be patient, £500 from Honda is just stupid!

Dave

I think I've handed out almost that exact advice before

The trick with eBay is to sort by "newly listed", then you can catch them as soon as they come up and get in there before anyone else. Otherwise items like spoiler, grill, lights are all going to be sold!
