Wind Deflectors

Hi all...

I'm looking to buy some wind deflectors for my 2007 2.2 5 door, I have looked on E-gay but I'm still a bit unsure which ones to go for, some stick onto the door frame and some fit into the window channel.....is it just a matter of personal taste or is one kind of fitting better than the other (I prefer the look of the in-channel type) are they available for the 5 door and not just the 3 door ?

Also, any idea where I can buy a single floor mat. I dont need the full set, just the drivers side.

Cheers, Gary

I got some Team Heko ones. Was in 2 minds but once they were on the car I'm well happy with the results. Fitting was straight forward and only took a few minutes. They Sit in fine without the clips but I put them anyway just in case. For £30 its a cheap effective mod.

Ive got the Team Heko ones too. no problems with them. I prefer them to sit inside the channel to be honest.

The Climair kit (as I have) also fits inside the channels - my point was that while some folk have had problems with Team Heko, I've never read about a single issue with Climair

Well, apart from removing the bloody decals ! (I'm a fanatical "debadger") - eventually, I discovered that Acetone did the trick, in a few seconds

Few quid cheaper here once you've factored in delivery. It's where I got mine.

Got the ones off ebay yesterday and they fit perfectly!! Was slightly baffled with the clips but just push them in and that's it. Happy with team heko wind selectors.

I had Heko ones for a good few months with out any problems.

Then one day, i noticed the tape used to hold them in was starting to show, it was obviously drying up & started to turn white.

So far i have re-fitted my Heko's about 5 times, but for some reason the drivers side keeps working its way down & you can see the tape which looks a mess. (Passenger side is fine )

Funny thing is, one of the ends which goes into the window channel has snapped off, would have explained the problem im having except its on the passenger side one, lol.

I'm considering either putting the clips back in - which i didn't like. Or buying Climair ones!

You'll either have to replace the tape with some new double-sided, or put the clips in to fix that.

Tape has been replaced every single time i have refitted them, peeled off all the old stuff, thoroughly cleaned them & redone from scratch.

Seems like Clips are my only option if i don't want to buy a new set.

Bloody things.

Deflectors arrived today and about 20 mins later they were fitted on the car, really easy to fit and look great, I did take the time to give the window rubbers a good clean before fitting them and the tape stuck really well.
Thanks for the replies guys

Cheers, Gary
