I like that, i was planning on doing something simmilar with the space grill i got on mine. - Is the glass tinnted ?
Another idea was to carbon or mat wrap the glass on the front, possibly debage ? hmm ideas.. EDIT! - how did you modify the grill ? |

cdti, i opened up the grill ( not as hard as it looks) the glass is clear there are two removable plastic peices that are tinted. I sprayed the rear silver bit with gloss blqack fromm the range £2.99 for holts on offer so cheap mod. the badge comes off easy.

Glad someone has finally taken up the challenge of doing this, as I thought about doing it months ago, myself (albeit keeping the "H" bit silver).
Looks great, imo and will certainly stand out from the cyclops/sports grille crowd! Any more pics of it a bit lower down, kinda at a 45 degree angle from the front corners? Did you use plastic primer first or just spray the black straight on? Might start looking out for a cheap used perspex item now... Last edited by Fr0d; 19th August 2012 at 11:51. |
