Gear Knob and tinting advise
When i get my 2.2 Civic on Sunday I want to replace the gear knob as its a bit worn. Any suggestions on what one to get and where to get it from.
Also I am going to want my rear windows and roof tinted. I have just got a rough estimate from a company for £330 not including the roof. Am I right in thinking this is expensive. Is there anywhere local to Portsmouth People would reccomend? Thanks |

Due to get my windows done this weekend, been to the same company each time for car tints and they are very good! I've been quoted £120 for all back windows. Also noticed a lot of previous discussion on the forum about issues with tinting the lower part of the rear window (the plastic bit). Most tinting firms seem not to want to touch them, had a long chat with the guys that are going to sort the tints out on my car and they seem to think it is possible to get a good job done on the plastic bit, BUT will take a fair bit of time and effort. Lets see how it goes on the weekend ay..........

Hi mate. I got a jdm gear knob from eBay. They look exactly like the own one just a little cheaper. I got a blue one but they have red and purple aswell. they sell the normal coloured one for 9.99 plus 9.99 delivery. There's also the skunk 2 which a lot of people on here have. Here's the link to the jdm one.

Hmm haven't heard of the glue issue yet, will find out on Saturday! From what I understand, one of the main issues with tinting the plastic is that you can't use a heat gun on the tints to dry them properly (because of the plastic).. ...
