Fitting mirror caps/shells

Hello

Anyone got any idea how to do this? I have had a look and it looks as though I need to remove the mirror glass and then behind this I should see screws...

I cant however seem to get the mirror glass out. Its ridiculously tight and starts to flex when i try and get my fingers behind it.

Any ideas? Is there any clips or anything I should be pushing it, pulling out etc? Cant tell as I cant see

Thanks

No no no.

Just pull the cap. It'll need sprising open initially then once you start it off its easy.

Its only held on with very strong clips. Once you've pulled the cap off, and do so with a bit of elbow grease. You'll need a screwdriver to unscrew the indicator from the cap itself.

Hope I've made that kinda clear. Just hold the cap and give it a tug. The clips are very strong and won't break.

I couldn't get my cap off no matter how hard I pulled on it. In the end I slid a screwdriver behind the mirror to pop it out and then I could see the clips on the inside to release them.

I was dreading the moment that i had to remove mine to swap over to black ones but it was simple and 5 min job. What i done was i used a trim removal tool or you could use a flat head screwdriver with tape round the edge so not to damage trim. Work from the bottom and pop the cover loose from the black edge it goes into. Once loose its as simple as pulling away from mirror housing with a little force and should come off no problem. Then just remove the 3 torque screws that hold the indicator in place.

fold mirrors in, then using palm of hand hit the flatish part that would be next to window slightly out and up and off they pop
