Hi yes lots of brands, but I can't seem to search your website for my car specifically.

If it's not the case that you can search by car/reg/ make and model then that will give many other websites an advantage over yours. Tdi north for example.

I may be wrong, if so could you let me know how to search for my 07 fk3 civic specifically???

Also I just did a quick search for clutches, and your prices seem way higher than most whilst you offer no description other than a part number?? Maybe stage, bhp and torque ratings would be helpful whilst also whether single/twin plate plus number of paddles etc to justify the significantly higher costs compared to Tdi north again??

Many thanks.

Thanks Moff

Wasn't looking for anything in particular just mooching, Tdi north seem to be a major player in the civic mods realm given their speciality, on the pricing front they could do with being your main competition as on the clutches, yours start from £501.52 for a non oem FN2 upgraded clutch where as Tdi do simular stage 2 for £303.72 - stage 4 for £322.45 with a six paddle. Plus they have lots of reviews and good reputation.

Are your discounts worth £200+???

No, Discounts of £200 would be nice !

I will look in to the pricing, there really shouldn't be that much of a price difference, especially if they are the same make / brand.
If their prices are plus VAT, then with forum discounts, prices are about the same, but I shall investigate

I don't think the clutches are the same brand, Tdi don't offer the brand as I believe claim them as their own/generic. However if they guarantee upto 300 bhp on a stage 2 and have the rep to go with it, as a cash strapped public sector worker (nurse) who's hobby (whilst wife keeps eyes on the purse strings) is cars, I would be happy to pay the £303 (yes including VAT) instead of the £500 on the basis I should be getting a fairly simular product for £200 less, and if longevity were to be an issue, you could almost buy 2 of the Tdi's for the price on 1 of yours.

I think an easier way to put it is, how does 1 convince the Mrs a £200 more expensive clutch is worth it when both have the reviews and rep that are the same?? If you were the Mrs (like mine with no idea or interest in cars) essentially permitting your fella to spend the cash, which would you let them buy?? Sounds sad I know buy I think a lot of us gents on here are in the same boat lol

Someone once replied to a comment like that on another forum, with an old saying from Rolls Royce.

'The Quality lasts, once the price is forgotten' which I quite liked.

Same with all modifications I would surmise. Some items are designed to last for longer than others. Different brands appeal to different markets.

EG, I run a £900 clutch in my GTR, but it has been in there for years and years, coping with the 500 BHP that gets put through it. I could buy a clutch for £300, but use it a lot on track.
If I work than on an annualised cost, then its very low, maybe approach with that angle to the missus

I like that answer makes good sense, whether it will wash with the Mrs is another question altogether lol. Thanks for your help.
