Toda Racing VTEC Killer Camshafts

Click the image to open in full size.VTEC Killer High Power Profile Camshaft
Design
-The primary and secondary lobes are designed to be the same size.
-The diameter of the main shaft has been made more uniform in size along with a hollowed out inside. This gives you a cam shaft that has increased rigidity and weight savings for improved reliability and more accurate valve timing.
-Optimized surface treatment designed to prevent wear, sticking as well as helping in the early stages of running in.

Characteristics
-The mid rocker cam is removed & both pins are changed, reducing the valve train mass, for better response.
-Disabling the VTEC system removes fluctuations in oil pressure system, securing a reliable oil feed to all the main moving components.
*Lost motion valve should be removed.
*Should be used inconjunction with quad throttle(TODA) bodies for best effect.

VTEC Killer Hardware Kit
-This kit is required in order to install VTEC Killer Camshafts.

The gains will depend on what other modifications you have already and which cam profiles you choose.

The VTEC Killer cams are primarilly designed for sustained high speed racing applications, so if your requirement is mostly for street use you should consider using the billet camshafts which deliver greater low and mid range torque.

Hope this helps

Forgive my ignorance but whats the point of killing VTEC with this camshaft? You're just effectively making a DOHC into a normal 2 litre SOHC??

It remains DOHC off course, but I can't see the reason why one would kill VTEC indeed for daily (road) use.
IMHO this kit is pure for competition usage. These cams are probably rather "hot", making the engine seriously nervous at low revs.
You can't install this kit without changing other things too, like valve springs, ECU-tuning, manifold, throttle bodies, etc. You should consider gains in that perspective too. This kit enhances other mods, rather than being a BHP-source in itself.

Hi,

No problem! These kits are designed for sustained high RPM applications (such as racing) where lightness of the valve train and improved oil pressure characteristics are prioritised over low speed torque.

Hope this helps

Who needs vtec when your over 6000rpm all the time

We are getting a few customers that are putting their FN2 on the track now and won't see a public highway again and as an endurance spec camshaft for prolonged periods on track these are ideal.
