Toda Lightweight Pulley Kit

Developed to give lighter and sportier engine characteristic. By reducing the overall weight (and inertia) of the 3 pulleys, and by modifying the alternator pulley ratio to take advantage of the more sporty use, the burden on the engine is reduced helping to improve acceleration performance. A standard length belt for the AC kit and shortened belt for the AC less kit is provided. Installing with a new belt is important to help improve the running in process of the new pulleys. A good affinity material is used on the oil seal face of the crank pulley to reduce friction improving sealing and to reduce wear. The hexagon socket design of the original crank pulley is retained so that Honda's service tool can be used when loosening or tightening the crank pulley bolt.

A. 2 pieces structure

B. Duralumin A-7075
A hard base material is used the reduce wear increasing longevity of the pulleys and helping to prevent damage such as stone chips.

C. Red anodizing (Alumite)
These red anodized pulleys help to enhance the appearance of the engine bay.

Color variation
You can customize Light Weight Front Pulley KIT with special color with additional at additional cost when you order. Please allow an extra 3 weeks are required in production.

The standard colour kits costs £360, and the other colours are £380 (both plus vat).

The installation time should be approximately 1 hour but we have seen instances where the standard crankshaft pulley has been a bit of a problem to remove, therefore adding time.

lol david, just a little mate. been toying with a few ideas as to were to go with my engine mods as to be honest after rrc and bigger TB, im virtually done. so started looking into things like this to aid acceleration and things like that.

you wont actually get any gains from these ash, their not that type of performance mod. it will allow for better acceleration through them being a lighter weight than the current oem pulleys if i read into them right.

Mark, quick question driving the car in a normal manner with this fitted, will it result in the alternater been driven to slowly to charge the battery properly?

i think it will charge the same.

Was thinking about getting this mod as reducing rotational mass is an easy and quick way of extracting a little more performance, but Beatdown's post is a little disconcerting, even more so during winter - don't want to be faced with the choice of heating or lights on a frozen winter morning and forget the rear demister!
Was looking on the NST website NST - NonStopTuning - The Leader In Civic Si K20 Pulleys

I see that the crank is underdriven by 15% and the alternator overdriven by 15% so the net charging remains unchanged, but other items like A/C compressor will remain 15% underdriven, so on the face of it that seems like a better bet.

Perhaps TDI et al can give us some insight? Has anyone evaluated any of these kits (especially under high electrical load) so we can cut through the marketing hyperbole and get some objective results before parting with £400+

Also, with the TODA kit does it retain the standard OEM belt?

I think it's a new belt that's supplied with the pulley kit.

Unfortunately we haven't tested these yet so can't answer some of the questions.

A lot of Toda equipment is designed for racing applications so they may have designed their kit to underdrive the accessories thus reducing load and improving engine output, rather than maintaining battery charging performance.

Caveat: This is my personal assumption!
