Thumbs up Super Lightweight Batteries Available

Ladies and Gentlemen,

We're now offering Ballistic Performance Evo 2 lithium ion batteries.

These batteries are tiny and extremely lightweight so represent quite a significant weight and space saving under the bonnet. The additional space could be used for a very nice air box for example

Here are the advantages and specifications:
Up to 80% smaller than the stock battery
Up to 10lbs Lighter than the stock battery
Service life of over twice a lead acid in similar conditions
Industry leading 3 year warranty
Designed, developed, and assembled in the USA
Completely “dry” technology so batteries can be mounted
in any direction
Non-toxic, recyclable, and can be air shipped
Applications for powersports vehicles from 50cc - 2300cc
Tested extensively by professional race teams
Impact and water resistant
Works with the original equipment charging system
No trickle charger required, loses only 10% of charge over a year of static use
Comes with universal terminals

Dimensions: 114MM (L) x 114MM (W) x 112MM (H)
Weight: 611 grams (3.5 lb)
Voltage (charges): 13.6V
Amperage: 28 Pb-eq A/H
Pulse cranking amps 500 CCA
Operating environment: -18°C (0°F) to 60°C (140°F)
Charger time: 5 minutes at 2A

Traditionally the prices have been cost prohibitive outside of racing teams, but these are now available at a very reasonable price of £350 plus vat.

Please let me know if you're interested.

Thanks

Yes, they're still available and you'll need to make or modify the retaining strap.

It's a good way to lose some front end weight. I like it!.. but not the price Still, it's a good price for what it is. I sell 36v 4.5Ah batteries at work and they're £200!

Also, that rated temp of 60*C... I'm pretty sure it'll get a lot hotter than that under the bonnet in summer. Would a relocation to a cooler area be advised? I would think there would be plenty of other places to put it with it being so small.

Nope, why would i be roughing it? Quite confused by the roughing comment.

What is the point of me getting a/c and then removing it??

I still have climate control, just nonbof the extras as i wanted my car as basic as possible. Minus windy windows. Lol!

Most people don't even use air con today with fuel costs how they, so to me its a waste of weight lol!

Yes its 20kg, but thats a lot imo just from the a/c unit and rad lol!

I think i got confused by the facepalm. Lol! Sorry.

500PCA concerns me for the 2.2
Unless they do mean CCA whereby it's better but still a bit low.
