i have just been given a quote for the leather interior for my type 2. now here is the part where i could do with some ideas. what colours would go on the inside of the tangerine orange colour? i was also looking at getting the contrast stitching aswell.

I think dark grey leather, like a graphite grey, and orange stitching, but not bright orange, would look great.

Careful with your choice as it is just that, your choice, and it may detract from selling/px-ing in the future.

My choice would be for the Black with Black Carbon Fibre seat centres. Black front and rear centre arm rest. Black Carbon Fibre door cards with Black armrests. Perhaps a contrast Orange Stitching, but your car colour says it all, you don't want to overdo it.

What other colour were you thinking with the grey?

As Allan says you don't want it looking too bright.

I was tempted buy the Dark Red centres and Black sides for my EX (Red/Black is a must-have with a Type S or Type R), but looks it's best on NHB, Silver and Red. Be careful with Orange!

The inside of the Orange ST is Orange so i'm sure there are a few folk who would agree with it. Black and orange I think would be a good choice

Black with Orange stitching would look good though, without going OTT.

I'm having my seats done very shortly (just waiting for a date) and Steve prefers to do a onsite fit at your dealership if you're here in the UK. Alternatively you could arrange to drive to Rotherham and have it done there.!! It takes about 6 hours when they do it, so it may be worth coming to the UK, but I would get professionals to do it as then you have some comeback if you have a problem or stitching or whatever comes undone.

You might find the thread I started 'Leather seats' in the transform forum useful. (sorry can't do links!!)

I had retro-fit leather in one of my cars, and I think you'll find the quality is better that factory fitted leather.
