Stone chips,,,best remedy

Can I ask other forum members how they are tackling the stone chip problem,,,mine is 3 months old now and has picked up a few on the bonnet and O/S door, I must say this does not bode well for the future.

Personally I use a cocktail stick to apply paint into the chip until it is slightly raised above the level of the rest of the paint. once it is thoroughly dry I use some very fine wet and dry to flat it off and then polish the area back up with some auto-glym resin polish. I had to do it last week on my first stone chip. But you can't see it now

It's not for the fainthearted, and you need to be careful not to rub paint off the surrounding area. i can imagine it would be a very tedious job to do several in this way though.
