I would have one again but it would have to be one of the newer ones with the extra bhp. I don't think it was ever as adrenaline filled as the type-r to drive though, as the power is delivered totally differently, but it was certainly entertaining.
Please cheer me up and tell me you prefer the Type R to the 350z

When buying my previous car i could not make my mind up between the RX8 and 350z, eventually i decided on the RX8 because of the extra rear seats!
My biggest regret to this day is that i never bought the 350z.

I am buying a new house this year,so my car budget could not have stretched the extra 10 grand for one when buying my R.

To be honest, I don't think they are worth the extra 10k over the R but they are still great for what you get. But you get so much in the R as well as how ace it drives. Also, I am not sure if the 350z will ever be as reliable as the R. I had my 350z back to Nissan a good few times.

We can still keep doing the lottery though but then I am sure we would be looking at other cars again

Thanks for the reply,
that does make my current choice of car all the better!

I must admit i do love my Type R, it is not as fast as the RX8 but you do seem to get more involved with the car and that V-tec engine sounds great

Hey Big&, How would you say the 350Z delivery was different? You have to rev the type R to 5k for the proper power & then 5k-8k pure acceleration. From 2k-4k theres a nice bit of low down grunt - bit of a flat spot 4k-5k.

So can u describe the differences for the 350?
thx mate

Its as you guessed mate. The 350 will give it some right from the off, building all the way to about 6k. Its still good to keep it in the sweet spot like you would the R but its not that necessary with the extra torque. For me though, I enjoy the higher revving experience but its horses for courses. I would still have another Z but its just too impracticable at the moment but I am due a mid-life crisis soon, so who knows

mines a bit of a mixture,

Mini City E 998cc (shared with sister)
Metro City X 998cc (brown, say no more)
VW Beetle 1300 (enjoyed the scene for a few years)
Vauxhall Cavalier 2.0 SRi (sadly nicked by joyriders)
VW Golf 1.6 CL (worst one of all my cars)
Peugeot 406 2.0 SRi Turbo (comfortable and quick)
BMW Mini Cooper S (loved all 4 1/2 years of it)
Civic Type R

Had the Civic less than a week, bought it because I wanted something bigger but just as much as fun as the Mini.

I think I made the right choice!

I think you did too. My wife has the Mini, it is fun to drive but not as much as the Type R.

yer house purchases dictated changes of some of them

i've left a few out as well. had a Tvr Tuscan Speed 6 after the Supra, and one or two others as well that aren't worth mentioning! (like about 5 Renault 5 GT Turbos!)

First car was at 17 (the metro) and had the first cosworth when I was 18.

I'm a massive petrol head as you can guess! Got my dad to thank.

I didn't have a car at uni (though my Saracen would beat pretty much anything at the lights , at least to 20 mph) so my list is very short - Celica VVTi, then the CTR

must say I've never had a 'bad' car but this is the 2nd Honda I've had and they are a different class to Vauxhalls/Fords etc. My Audi was, as you'd expect, very solid but I say Honda 'keep em coming!!!!'
