So for a full 50 Litre tank I'm spending and extra $8 which equates to £3.73.

I won't use anything but V-Power.

I had my last big power evo mapped just to run on it and nothing else, and it makes a hell of a difference! Even if the car isn't mapped to it.

One word of caution, do NOT under any circumstances use tesco super. It's not very well refined and your MPG will suffer badly!

Righty, i've now used two tanks of V-Power. I had noticed a difference with the first lot and now i'm on the second lot i've noticed a HUGE improvement. I haven't changed my driving style, I still put pedal to the metal and V tec in every gear, but since my last fill I have done 89.7miles and my tank reading is showing 283 miles left! I've never seen this on my CTR until now! I'm well impressed, makes paying 7/8p more worth while.

But the more the engine runs in, its only just done 2200 in 5 months so I can only expect this may get slightly better

Eventually it will be pure V-Power as there was a bit 95 left when I first filled up, then there was some of the V-Power/95 mix left so things can only get better. Seeing much better results now though

Have you tried this Shell garage:

Snax 24 Bowmac
Glasgow Road
Edinburgh
Midlothian
EH12 8HW
(My sister said she managed to get V-Power in edinburgh here.)

OR

Shell Circle
Crewe Road South
Edinburgh
Midlothian
EH4 2NT

I first of all wouldn't make a 45/50 mile round trip just to get V-Power but as you will see from mt quote the other day I have managed to get V-Power already.....I actually managed to get it the day they introduced it back into the garage I would tend to use.

I didn't but this car because I was worried about running costs and I'm quite happy with the performance so if I don't get any extra MPG or grunt out of it I don't mind. (wouldn't object though )

I am, however, more than happy to spend the extra to get a cleaner fuel that will keep my engine running better for longer.

Admittedly our fuel prices appear to be somewhat lower than what you guys in the UK have to put up with...

Strewth.
We pay $2.53 per litre!!

Interesting. I use Tesco 99 and do believe there is a noticeable difference between it and the usual 95 (which I buy occasionally when the 99 is dry). I considered that the gains may be partly due to the placebo effect, but the attachment does make me more confident.

I've not tried the Shell or BP versions.

What gets me is when places like What Car want to use a standard 1.6 Ford Focus on their petrol tests............When really they should use a ST and see how they go

I have had V-Power in my CTR for the last 4 fill ups now ( average price is £1.14 per litre) and to be honest i haven't noticed much difference in power or mpg.
It has reduced the jerky cold running a bit though.

I noticed more difference with the BP ultimate but it's a bit too expensive, currently at £1.22 a litre

Just stuck in BP Ultimate the other day!

Notice a fair bit of difference over the V-Power!

Its quite interesting as V-Power is the only fuel that Ferrari say their customers should use and every car that leaves the factory is filled with V-Power from the off.

There is not a BP near me (although I did see one yesterday and saw they were about 6p more than Shell for normal unleaded) but if its the only thing I can get when i'm down south I'm game for anything. I'm getting rather good MPG from V-Power at the mo
