Hoped to get it for my 30th birthday, but it was delayed two weeks. Worth the wait though....

I'm a young 38! The reason why there are nt many younger people buying this car is firstly the insurance, and secondly the price tag! I owned an XR3i at 19 and a Escort RS Turbo at 21!

These days its impossible to get insured on this type of car unless you are 25 and above!

Looking back at the past, I would nt insure a 17 year old on this car. Not to sound bad but I was crazy at that age, and would of kill myself in one of these! I was over confident and took many risks!

You have to respect these cars!

Well there are a few of us here that are under 25, me included who own CTR's and we have found no problem with getting insurance.

Quite frankly the CTR was quite cheap in comparison to the Mini Cooper S I was thinking of buying (and the other hot hatches out there). To keep to the same standard of my last Mini (at least) it was going to cost almost £30k, which I would have paid if they hadn't of wrecked the look of it!

Actually there are 9 replies from people who are under 25, thats not including the silly 17 one!

Majority are males aged 21 funnily enough a couple of 23 year olds and I think 1 24 year old and thats only so far. Not all FN2 owners use this forum so there is probably pleantly more out there

It seems a lot of twenty somethings have nice cars these days, I suspect it's because a lot can't afford to buy houses with prices as they are, so the next best thing to spend your money on is a car.

Probably, had a nice car when I was still at school and bought a house the same week I ordered my CTR.....Good to have the freedom of your own place, but I much prefer cars to houses

Nice if you can afford both! I had a Peugeot 306 for almost 10 years as I had just brought a house and had lots of bills. But now things have settled down a bit I thought what the heck. Mind you I'm still single with no kids so have more money to myself! Once you get married and have kids then it will be a 4x4! LOL

I love cars, No immediate plans for Kids at the mo! And 4x4? I don't think so, if I stay living in the country, then maybe, but quite frankly I'd rather have a Bentley than a 4x4 and kids!

Young, free and single at the moment. Just loving it. Plus my Car doesn't give me any grief lol!

New money? What's that then? i'm 21 and i work hard for my money to have this car. The people you speak of i am guessing live off thier rich mums and dads!

I am still hoping on not having to work for my money! £95 million on the euro millions! fingers crossed!
