Yes mine too. It feels like the throttle is too sensitive when it's cold. It soon goes when she has warmed up. Maybe something we'll just have to get used too ??

Do any other CTR owners think this is a fault

I have never tried Shell V Power in any car before. I try and avoid Shell garages as much as possible since the troubles they had about 10 years ago or more when car owners were complaining of "Pinking" and damaged engines.

Things may be better now

I know what you mean! Texaco had the same problem, and recently Tescos with dodgey fuel too!

Only use BP, and every 3rd fill I give it the "Super".
No problems and no oil use.
Might just try a tank of Shell and see if there is any noticeable difference.

Mines fine, but I had that problem with a previous car (Non Honda) and the garage reset the engine management chip which cured it.

Tried a full tank of BP Ultimate last week. Very expensive but felt smoother in the mornings Also noticed better mpg and total distance on a full tank increased too.

I have been using Shell V-Power, is BP Ultimate better, as I have a BP garage just round the corner from me?

I have same problem with mine. When its cold the throttle seems very sensitive and jumps all over the place when going over bumps. Just rung the dealer who is going to have a look as well as looking at my "sticky" 3rd gear - a common fault i believe. Does anyone think that the jumpy throttle will improve with mileage - I have had the car 6 months and only done 1,500 miles - criminal I know !!!!!!!!!

I know - when I took it to the dealers on Friday the engineer laughed at me ! He reckons that the engine will not loosen up until 5000 miles on clock - Hell - thats gonna take me to 2010 the rate I am going. Did manage to get out on Sunday and vTech to the max for 20 minutes or so !!!!

I've only just managed to make 2000 miles and i'll of had it 5 months. Dimplys also has a lower milage and we picked them up on the same day.

All depends on when you get to drive it. Everytime I offer to go in my car someone always say, its okay we'll take this one as we don't want your getting damaged. ***! I just want to drive it, not look at it sat there!

I'm now having to drive to Oxford at the end of the month in order to give it a decent run as its not had one of them yet. Will be interesting to see how far I get on the old V-Power. I made it to Swindon in a Cooper S on 3/4 of a tank and I wasn't going slow either.

This should be fun! It has been suggested that I maybe better getting a flight, but where is the fun in that?

I went to Wales in it a few weeks ago - from Plymouth - not far I know but had to refill with fuel with about 25 miles to go - managed to get about 200 miles. I was slightly naughty on occasions - if you get my drift. It does feel better when you have given it a good old blast - and warmed the engine up properly

Mine's a little bit jerky for the first 5 minutes or so but I haven't worried too much about it as it smoothes out a treat after that. I had exactly the same thing with the Clio 182 I had a few years back - it must be something to do with a slightly sportier engine!

Ditto - jerky here in the mornings too, but only 2500 miles so hoping it will loosen up a bit. Sometimes the jerks are pretty severe and annoying

I topped up at the weekend with shell V power. Not sure if there is any difference.
Still jerky in the mornings. Just something we'll have to get used too.
