I found that when I raised the seatbelt adjuster on the side upto the highest point it manages to clear the seat and has so far saved me from a 'shiney' patch.......I do also have my seat at the lowest (although I still feel about 10 feet up) position which may help.

I do always make sure its lifted away from the seat when I pull it across, so maybe this is helping the rubbing or lack of.

My seats have that Diamond bright stuff on them and I find that a damp cloth works fine. Don't want to scrub hard lol!

Plain black seat belt pads for me, hand crafted from black suede with red stiching, 15 cm long and fixed in place with some self-adhesive velcro straps.

Almost perfect match to seats and look factory standard - plain black avoids the boy racer look.

Hand crafted by a friends mum - used to teach home economics, very handy with a Singer!

Sorry no camera.

I just noticed today that my seat has now got a shiny patch too

I'll have to dig out my seat belt pads and see if they stop it getting any worse.
Usually only use them in the summer to stop the seat belt rubbing me. Which annoyingly always happens when wearing summer tops with less coverage!

don't know what else to do that doesn't spoil the look of the seats - which i like
