I've noticed this Handbag cover on 'Women's insurance' policies, surely if your stupid enough to leave the handbag in the car and it gets nicked then they shouldn't pay out for it??? Plus £200 that wouldn't replace the value of my purse never mind the bag its in! |

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh get you !!! I have handbag cover and thats because it is part of the policy not an extra, it also covers any bags that may be stolen from the boot etc or if the car is stolen with them in it !! Bear in mind while you are all talking about how much you pay - where you live will have a huge impact on the premium. |

Its utter madness what some folk have to pay. My mate has a CTR and its parked in a locked private underground car park at his home, he like most has NCB Discount, is older than me and is paying a heck of a lot more than me and he lives in a rather nice part of Essex. If he puts the address down as being his work 3 miles away it knocks a hell of a lot off the price. Utter madness!!! |

On my C220 CDi
10 years NCD Protected Legal 12,000 a year 29 £250 excess Birmingham Post Code Quoted £580, so looked on the net and got something like £477 with eSure, so called my Insurance to see if they could match and they came back at £488 so it wasn't worth the hassle of changing for £11 I did a quote on a 2.2 EX and that came out at about £370 same details as above. |

BTW, Cheap loans | mortgages | credit cards | home & car insurance - moneysupermarket.com is a great site for insurance quotes. Forget confused and the other one that puts tacky adverts on the TV

30, live in Notts, full NCB, 57 Type R GT in Bronze, Police officer.
£380 Full Comp. Sainsburys Insurance.....bizarrely exactly the same amount as the Focus ST-3 cost me to insure.....but when I changed from the Focus ST, to the Mondeo ST they gave me back £85 - then i promptly gave it back to them when I went from the Mondy to the Civ Type R..... Keep up!! |

Worst thing about it is she has 6 points, and 2 non-fault claims whereas I have none of either. Would be great if the forum could do a group deal on insurance! |

I do know that ther are some sites that get disocunts from insurance companies, but you've gotta pay a £30/£40 subscription per year but you save more than that on the insurance.
You won't get a 'group' deal as we don't all buy our insurance at the same time, live at the same address, drive the same cars, same roads, same times and use them for different things. If there was an offer from an insurance company some may benefit but others maybe wouldn't....I would think that depending on who it was i'd end up sticking with my current insurer or going elsewhere for it |
