Car seems out of control for around a nano second

This has happened to me three times now in both wet and dry condiions.

Its as though the steering suddenly goes light for a split second and the car has a wee wobble or something..it feels as though you momentarily have lost control..and then proceeds as normal....its really weird.

Its very brief but alarming enough to give you a wee scare and make you ask yourself "what the hell was that"?????

Its not even as though the car was being pushed hard when it has occurred. Its has happend on all three ocasions at the most mundane of speeds.

On one ocasion i was doing about 35 in the dry and had just exited a sharpish corner.

Something similar, when easing off the accelerator to squeeze between curb and oncoming HGV, the steering goes as light as a feather and it feels like there is no fine control. I have noticed this on several occasions, but then again, it might just be due to the way I drive.

Does the Type R have the ESP?
If so it could be this kicking in!

Yeah, sounds like the ESP trying to sort itself out - would normally be when it measures something going a bit wrong thou - like wheelspin or differing wheel speeds

I've felt minute but definite handling changes on lifting off (like lift off oversteer, but not nearly as dramatic!) and under hard accelleration, purely as the balance of the car shifts due to the forces shifting the mass of the car away from, or towards the front axle.

Caught me out initially as it's the first car I've had where the effects of this were apparent! It feels like you describe, things going light for a split second, or when breaking, going heavy. Probably obvious to most, but first time outside of Gran Turismo I've felt it
