I am planning on getting one of these, but I am just going to get one from Honda and have them attach it for me!

They come with the side stickers, but I don't want them so will try to find something else to stick them to!

Beg to differ but the rear Type R badge on the boot has as space so you can see the paint from the boot through it (so red in my case) don't know what badge you have thats black in the curve of the R (or are you reffering to the fact that it looks black on the grill?) and as for the front badge, the one from Honda is like the one in the link and the space in the R is silver

IMO the one ctrdave has is very very close to the original badges
It is an original but from the back of the car. It came in a Honda wrapper with the serial no. on it too.
The original grill badges are just slightly smaller.

Hmmm strange, mines doesn't MY08 on 57 plate, my mate Jack's doesn't and his is a MY08 March '08 and it looks like the one on your grill doesn't have it either. Wonder if its a badge that they've forgot to remove the center from? It could happen

Angie, I think I will use U to give me the all clear before making my purchase. Clearly you are on the case...and besides, don't want to spoil the car by bunging on a badge which is not particulalry authentic.......

It won't spoil it, but when you come to sell it you may get some pain in the arse like me who would know its a rip off and not be too impressed

Your best bet maybe Holdcroft. The retail value of the set is £125 (even aftermarket and without the fitting). So if your dealer is selling them for this then the 10/20% discount (which is good) won't even come near to the price of £57 including P&P from Holdcroft Honda

Very true i was thinking on holdcroft hondas price then discount, i will ask how cheap he can go.

I had a shot of the older type r the EP3 today, and i must say before i got my new car i was considering getting the older style civic but im so glad i have the FN2 although there about the same speed i swear the FN2 sounds faster also feels faster to and the looks of the new civic has really grown on me this past year.

If you don't ask you don't get, so nothing to lose.

I was never a fan of the EP3 and I know someone thats had 3 now (all in NHB) When I saw a Milano CTR he day it was released I knew it was going to be the car to replace my Mini. Nothing else looks as stunning for the money. Oh and overtaking someone while in V-tec is great, you get some looks.....its soooo loud from outside
