I fitted my badge on saturday however when trying to get the plastic bit of the front to get behind the grille i snapped three of the plastic screws then gave up is there a certain way too get these screws out i ended up just sticking it on but would like to fit it more securly.

I also spoke to the guy at honda they said the badge kit would be £57 something, then £69 to fit it. I will need to ask for prices for those screws i snapped probably be £10 each or something stupid

I too went down this route. I've bought the original Type R "Rear" badge and superglued it to the front. It looks good although you do need to put it slightly higher up on the grill because of the size.

I'm hoping it will not fall off now!! Seems solid enough.........

Got my cheapo badge thro'. Great value for 8 quid. True it is a rear badge, but when I took it round to the back of the car, it is a damned good match...Though would annoy the living daylights out of Angie4M.

I think size does matter though. I have now been staring for a week at the rear badge on the grille and its not doing it for me...It is a bit too unsubtle for my liking...Its got another week.....

Me too although its a good copy im just going to buy the real one as little things like that annoy me too, its just a tad to big for my likeing was actually going down to honda tomorow to buy one although £57 quid there having a laugh.

Will also need 8 clips for the bit to get into the grill as i snapped 3 of 3 when i tried as im sure i will snap the other 5, they are the most rubish f***ing s**t clips to get out without snapping, unless someone else can shed some light to getting the things out without snapping them.

As long as the badge looks the same then there are no issues and plus its not my car so I don't give a flying whats not what you put on it lol!!

I quite happily paid £56 from Gaz for the badge and the decals although I have no intention of fitting the decals (so I keep them out the way of my Dad, cause he's itching to put them on)

Was behind a SL 500 last night and the chump driving it had put an EP3 R from a type R badge between the SL and the 500 so it read SLR 500. Next owner will need the dental floss trick I think

Are you talking about the screws on the top part as in this rather dark image here? View image: 09022008225.jpg Which fits above http://www.postimage.org/image.php?v=gx3tLcS so you can get into the grill?

You are using a flat head screw driver to losen then middle bit up first aint you? Then gently pulling them off. If you don't losen the middle bit you end up breaking them. I had to get 2 replacment one, 1 because one went flying into the bumper below oops and one broke cause it was a stubborn wee s**t! Oh they cost £2.74 each! But i'm sure thats because I quoted the part number from a Type R. These wee screws are used on several parts of the Civic and Si quoted a part number from a 5 door I think and they cost a fraction of the price.
