3000 miles

and my car is loosening up nicely. Gearbox is much slicker and the 3rd gear issue seems to have gone (fingers crossed - i don't want to tempt fate!). Seems more responsive too

Took it for a longish drive today just for fun. Sun was shining, warm day, dry roads - bliss. What utter joy it is to own a CTR and have nothing better to do than go for a drive on a nice day.

Good to hear your third gear is OK.

I also found the car keeps improving as the miles build up. Mine is at 9000 miles now and it feels a lot quicker than it did even at 3000 miles. So more to look forward to

I have just ticked over 30,000 miles and to say its loosened up nicely would be an understatement

I really didn't notice any difference in the car till the 25,000 mile service, after that it almost feels like a different car.

I still have the notchy 3rd gear but it has never popped out on me.

Be interesting to see how our cars compare after a couple of years - we collected on the same day, have R-numbers virtually next to each other and even do very similar mileage it seems (mine is on about 3800 now).

Likewise, my car is feeling 'fitter' everyday. Especially on a good, long run.

3700 miles

Clean car + sunshine = bling . Still looking good after 3700 miles but the stone chips are starting to appear (inside the white circle) plus a few on the offside wing

Might have to put that one in the reflections gallery

A good way to reduce chipping on hondas extremely thin paint job is to keep an eye out for midgies, bluebottles and flies. Break sharply as soon as they come into view and their impact off the bonnet will be significantly reduced.

I have 33,000 on the clock and the bonnet is covered in chips.

The worst thing is i can honestly say i`ve never really heard a stone hitting the car with any severity.
