Decat, results?
Hi, im hearing things on other forums that there have been mixed results from fitting a decat. Some with gains some with power loss at peak/high revs.
Anyone else fitted the mod? |

yeah hes had good results, ive heard of one other whos had bad results due to the pipe getting smaller as it links to the centre pipe.

On the older EP3's we saw cars loosing power with the decat fitted on a standard ecu. If we fitted a mappable ecu and adjusted the fuelling/ignition we found good gains midrange and upto 10bhp at top end. There is no reason why the FN2 won't be the same, so would strongly recommend holding fire until the mappable ecu's are available. It gets smaller as you said tp. Its going back im affraid. Plus theres an area of weld that is paper thin, bit of engine movement and heat expansion and i think it would start blowing in now time.

OK. Its the same as mine. The nuts that are welded on to hold the lambda sensors were also distorted on mine through too much heat when welding.
