I'm sure there are a few pics on the type s - I had thought about getting them to keep the car cool. Holdcroft charge about £97 for them. I'm sure they would do a good shipping rate to you.

Also if some folk are considering changing for another 3 door Civic they will be able to use these on a new one without shelling out for yet more windows to be tinted. Also some people don't like driving at night with tinted windows. My mother hated it in my Mini and she drove it every day! Its each to their own really |

I have them in my CTR.
Bought them to protect my 9 month old Grandson. Preferred the blind option to Tinting. Also have a security value. Silver Type RGT |

I find them very good but some people may find the rear vision restricted.
You should ask at a local dealer to have a look at them installed. I remove mine every so often to clean the glass. As Angie4m stated not everyone like tints. |

Hi mate. I have a set of these fitted in my CTR. They do the job, giving the kids/mum some privacy in the back, and keeping those annoying bright sunrays out of the kid's eyes.....
Vision out of the rear window is bad though........I might even take it out if I knew the family wouldn't be going in the car for a few days........ |

Hi Angie.
I have only had my car for 1 day!! The sunscreens were an extra I twisted into the deal, along with some other bits and bobs. When I arrived at the dealership this morning to collect my new CTR, I noticed the screens were not fitted. I asked the question, and was told the screens were in the boot for me to fit!! Needless to say I complained, and hey presto they decided to quickly get them in for me while I was signng up for the car. The screens are good, they don't look like tinted from the outside, but when you are sat inside, they offer good privacy. You can see out, but other's can't see in..... Regards to rear visability: It is poor with the screens in. |

Ready for this? I also asked prices for other things like the red lighting at the feet Floor mats 123.00 euro's (red premium) Aftermarket 50 euro's with metal plate (just like the pedals) any thing you want EMBROIDERED plus a plack with TYPE-R or HONDA + premium quality carpet. and the carpet has the proper stich around,(proper way and no comparison) where as other aftermarket have a strip of strong material going around (looks cheap) OH and here in Greece the CTR has no H.I.D. on them. Only the 1.8 full extra edition has the H.I.D.'s. Of coarse I asked for a price on that and the told me 1.300.00 euro's Duh! Aftermarket 350.00 euro and PHILIPS 6000k. The footwell lighting stays on dim whilst driving, unlike the standard footwell lights hence the new wiring etc and the price. Also most car manufacturers charge over the odds for mats especially when they are carpet ones. If you want to use aftermarket ones not manufactured by honda or whoever makes them for them could mean they don't fit properly and that could cause an issue when driving by getting caught under pedals etc. HID's are not on the type r in the UK or a lot of other countrys its sold, so your point is? You know the price of these items from the price list when you buy the car new. Most things fitted at the dealers after car arrives so they charge a premium. |

How could the floor mats not fit properly. when proper measurements are taken. People wouldn't buy them if they didn't fit properly. As for the H.I.D.'s I heard that in some countries, the H.I.D.'s are standard. My point is that they again overcharge. I wouldn't mind it so much if they were about 600.00-650.00 euros but 1300.00 is way too much. That's all! Here we disscuss different things about the car including prices. Everyone is always looking for a better deal. Maybe if something here or elsewhere is cheaper (even with postage) we could help each other to achive. Like I said we are disscussing and compareing. Thats my point. I'm not critisizeing anyone here(fellow members) just the big companies that take advantage of the consumers Last edited by TYPE-R '07; 4th June 2008 at 12:03. |

I can see where your coming from with regards to them being overpriced due to the fact that they seem to be the only ones that supply them. Some aftermarket floor mats do not fit properly as they do not have the correct fixings for the floor which Honda have, therefore the mat could move and it get caught. Thats all. I'm surprised that your dealer would even consider installing the H.I.D's as Honda UK state that they cannot supply them for cars which do not come with them as standard and there is no intention of doing so (as its not road legal in the UK). If everyone here was to do big group buys on everything then yes the costs would be reduced. You guys in Greece have a big following so its maybe something you could even get a local dealer to do? |
