Stone Chips Question

Hi guys,

Just wondering does the paint warranty cover rust forming in stone chips?

only it seems to be ever so slightly corroding surrounding paint too???

No. The warranty is for rust on the bodywork that has generated from a defect that is within the metal. Say, a manufacturing defect. The warranty does not cover rust that has formed from damage to the paint that was caused by stonechips. The argument being that if you left the car on the drive for 6 years, there would be no rust formed as the paint was doing its job. Its only when you break the paint layer that the water gets in and the metal oxidises.
