FN2 To be sold in Japan.

According to this month issue of XaCar (Japanese Car Mag) There is a feature stating that Honda have decided due to demand to sell the FN2 to the JDM market imminently via its Japanese Dealerships.

This could lead to two things:

An JDM FN2 Variant.
Tuning companies, the likes of Mugen, Spoon, etc etc may get in on the act.

The japanese is quite conservative on this area about the Type R.
In their eyes the FN2 will never be a real Type R.
So i think the Japs will keep the FD2 instead of the FN2.
Not sure, but i don't recall for once the US. have had a Honda Type R model. They have always been payed off by a SI model.

No one has suggested it would be replacing. It will be available also.

As a relatively new owner of a FN2 CTR, I haven't had the opportunity to totally explore the performance aftermarket possibilities, but my initial impression is that the current options for the FN2 are somewhat limited. When Japan gets the FN2 the performance aftermarket will flourish, and I for one could not be happier.....

Im surprised how limited our options are in the UK.

I have just come from a business trip to the Ukraine and have also been to Joburh in SA. They had the FN2, FD2, Hybrid and also the Civic Coupe model from the US (My favorite).

When I go travelling I am astonished as how much variety other countries have of the same model than the UK.

Its always possible but dont forget, Swindon build the Civic for the whole market, not just the UK. If there are such plans afoot, it may be that the car is not UK bound.

But hey, lets keep fingers crossed, it would be great to see not only White available but hopefully someone can find a few more pots of Vivid Blue as well.......

remember that in japan they have to prove they have a parking space before they can have a car, so smaller cars are some time allot more desirable.
