10 years prior to my photo (which itself was 10 years ago), a vague friend of mine bought a brand new M5 E28 in brown - and on day one rebadged it front and rear as a Ford Cortina. Now that was impressive! |

Hehehehehe I like it. The only reason I've ever thought of was to stop little s*its nicking the badges and damaging the paintwork......

The whole point of buying fast cars is to disguise them as slow ones and piss all over some little tit in what they think is a fast car at the lights! The rebadged M3 is a great idea and that's also why I like the audi S's as they dont look too outrageous so any non-petrolhead can be fooled into thinking they're average saloons...

Mine's de-badged it just gives a cleaner look to the rear - I know its a Civic I'm fairly sure most people know its a Civic as honda don't put model badges on the back other than Type S, R etc any more why not go the whole way & just have the Honda logo it would save them even more cash to spend on improving the cars...

I definitly prefer the 07 onwards models where they did away with the i-CDTi and i-vtec badges, that was just too much cluttering up the rear. A simple Type-R or Civic badge looks fine to me.
Absolute genious of an idea lowering the badge model, im sure that shocked a few posers at the lights |

And a Civic R-Type is pretty much universally recognisable --why the need to advertise with big chrome letters? Who cares what other people think (which is probably: "I wish I owned a car that cool!". |

It also stops people from trying to race you, and it annoys car snobs (those who buy cars to impress others, rather than themselves).
In Europe, most cars come with no badges on. It really is a UK thing, to try and out-badge your neighbour. |

I removed my civic badge too. Now I'll try to put it on some interior element. I think it looks good on the passangers side of the dashboard. It also fits perfectly on the little closet of the central console under the radio.

My Golf 2.0 gt tdi was debadged, caused a guy in a new beamer a lot of distress.... So much so that at the next red light he wound his window down to ask "what is it mate?"
I think I might do the Civic this weekend! Plus, it makes the back end a damned site easier to wax! |

It's an option from some dealers like Mercedes to get the car with no badges. I always debadge my cars - except the stupid 407 where the boot release is hidden in the 407

Look if you are very carefull you will not damage the paintwork. Use fishing line ot dental floss this will only separate the adhesive pad from the badge , thus not touching the bodywork
