had my type R a week and first injury :(
Well I supose it had to happen.
Backing into the garage this evening (insurance insist on it ) Ive managed to crack the rear center plastic bit that looks like the rear lights (god knows what you would call it). Basically bikes handle bars cracked it. So anyone know what its called, and how much one would cost and is it easy to fit one ? |

It was £197 delivered from Holdcroft at the end of last year. It a whole new unit you need. Look for smoked rear light for type r in the holdcroft section

thanks for the replies.
Unfortunatly the one on ebay has ended Well i was up at 630 this morning, supergluing the bits back on and taking the whole unit out, so at least until I get a new one sorted It wont just fill with rain. £245 does seem very steep for what is basically a light unit from the dealers |

As for trying a breakers yard, trying to find one with a fn2 type r is a bit like trying to find a needle in a haystack. There have been a few folk on here who don't have type r's but want cheap type r parts for there civic who have complained how they can't get parts from a breakers yard. I think they expect us to write off our cars to provide them with these lol! |

Price was from some local dealers. I still think £200 is a lot for what is basically a big light unit.
Im gonna keep my eyes open on ebay and the like. Hopefully i can pick one up. If not will go through dealers on here. |
