The supaguard comes with a guarantee so there there should be paperwork to show it has been applied.

It will be very difficult to tell the difference between a waxed car and a superguarded car. The main difference will be your wallet will be about £250 lighter with superguard.

I think most people on here would recommend doing the job yourself with Collinite or Bilt Hamber Auto Balm. The Collinite is easy to apply and lasts ages.

superguard

Well it was supposed to have been done to my ctr before pick up but im not 100 % superguard has been applied.
I have got the guarantee but no pack that you usually get with it!
The roof has two straight rubber marks either side on it , which makes me think that it hasnt been waxed or superguarded properly. Dont know what has caused these marks, maybe straps from transport but im guessing.

I know people dont rate it much on here but I had it on my last car and it was good for a couple of years at least.
It rained yesterday and my car showed up alot of wax like it had not been applied properly. Hard to explain really

Did you get it from a local dealer? If so take it back and tell them of your concerns.

No I got it from Holdcroft in stoke. I did try and call them 3 times today and was supposed to get a call back but it didnt happen.
Its nearly 2 hours away so that the hassle really.

It was one of the things I stipulated when I negotiated a deal. I think its strange I didnt get the pack that usually gets given with it.
I know the pack isnt much but they told me I wouldnt get that as that deal cost 500 which I knew was a porkie but didnt want to argue.

I was really impressed with the deal and the service from quash at the dealers but feel a little let down by this and its something that annoys me when people dont return your calls.

Not sure exactly what the cost was as it was a package deal. I wanted the full superguard .
Would imagine it was more than 40 quid

I know it is annoying when your calls aren't returned, but don't give up, you need to know.

Look in the cracks, around badges for white stuff they may (probably) have not removed. Is an indication they applied something at least.

Can't say fairer than that then, Allan

Sniffer you need to ask where your Validation Certificate is.

I have a certificate but my worry is its not been done fully. If it had surely the straight lines what look like rubber on the length of the roof wouldnt be there would they????
The lines are thin and my heart stopped when I though they were scraches but it does rub off with alot of effort!

I suspect the dealer will tell you if you have the Certificate then it has been treated.

I think if I was you I would buy a Supaguard pack and top it up myself just to be sure. I think the only way you will be sure is if you do it yourself.

You can get two treatment packs here for just over a tenner delivered.

SUPAGARD / superguard supaguard PAINT SEALANT x 2 on eBay, also Cleaning, Waxing Valeting, Car Care, Car Accessories, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 16-Jul-08 19:27:07 BST)

2 treatment packs for £10 inc postage.

Cost of materials for one supaguard treatment = £5

Dealer Labour / Mark up = £295 !!!!!

It may be good stuff but the Dealers are taking the ****, especially with a new car which should not need much cleaning / preparation.

I went over my car with the Supagard Paintseal Cream which is a 'top-up' to the original application.

However, after polishing and now using Bilt-Hamber Auto Balm, I realise what a waste of £300 the Supagard is. I would never have it on another car.

If you have streaks then I would suggest the dealer needs to re-apply it or try shampooing and then apply some Paintseal Cream.

This is the cream I used, together with a pack of shampoo: SUPAGARD SHAMPOO AND PAINTSEAL CREAM on eBay, also Cleaning, Waxing Valeting, Car Care, Car Accessories, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 24-Jun-08 16:24:17 BST)
