A couple of Faults, I have taken car back to dealers

Taken car back to dealers last saturday:-

1, Rattling Windows Both sides, when windows are down a couple of inch's

2, Faulty Auxilary power point in the boot

3, Faulty Alarm?

4, Split window rubber on driverside window at the top of the door (Top rear corner)

Waited 1 hour, to be told that :-

1, Passenger window was okay (still rattles)

2, Replaced fuse for the boot power (noticed they replaced it with a 15A fuse instead of a 20A?)

3, They would also need the car for two days to fix the alarm.

4, They would order another window seal for the split drivers side one.

Phoned HUK to express my lackluster sevice by my dealer.

Had a phone call yesterday and will be taking the car in monday night and pick it back up thursday/friday? night.

CAN ONLY SAY THAT I AM NOT OVERLY IMPRESSED BY THE SERVICE AND ATTITUDE PROVIDED BY MY DEALER...............

Wonder what courtesy car I will get..................

Understand your frustration but 3 of those items could have been checked pre-delivery by you

gone are the days you can expect anything beyond bare minimum from a franchise that you would do yourself and think nothing of doing it thoroughly.

I know we all expect a certain level of competence both from the manufacturing plant and the dealership, but in my experience it just isn't there.

The window seal maybe, but the other 3? Surely he would need to have had the car a few days to notice them. TBH, I don't know if the Aux power socket in the boot works in my car, never tried it.

I agree that the PDI's are not being carried out as they should be. My car sat at the dealers for 4 weeks before I picked it up. After I got home from the dealer I noticed the passenger door wasn't aligned, there was a light scratch on the rear Qtr, and a damaged piece of trim on the dash. The dealer should carry out he PDI, and make sure you have nothing to complain about.

The PDI's are done at Swindon for the smaller dealers apparently........you'd think someone, anyone, prior to the buyer collecting would have a walk 'round the car and at least have a very careful look.

I have to say mine was spot on and I couldn't fault it on the day. My non-audible alarm issue has only come to light as a result of this forum.

The window seal was okay on delivery, I mentioned to the dealer when I took my car in to have the scratched plastic in front of the rev counter replaced last month. That the the window seal at the rear of the drivers side door was "flipping out" ie the seal the wrong way round?

This caused the seal to fail as the dealer said they had looked at the seal and it was okay?

Well it's back got a phone call just after 2 o'clock saying everything has been done and the alarm works.

Seems that they had to reset some circuits and disconect the battery (as all my radio settings are out!!) undoing a few connections and waiting ten minutes for the circuits to reset? I was told they contacted HONDA and that is what they said to do.

Will see if this is a fix..................
