CPL FN2 Supercharger Info….
I noticed that there is a lot of questions/queries regarding our supercharger conversion for the FN2, so below is some info, hope this helps, feel free to ask anything that I have not answered:
Kit includes: Supercharger, Inlet manifold, Pulley, Belt, Injectors, Clips, Tensioner, Cold Air Intake, Ecu, Battery relocation kit, Fitting. There are no additional parts required; however our exhaust manifold is recommend to achieve best power as shown in dyno charts below. Power increases are as per dyno charts below (Power and torque is at the wheels) ![]() ![]() To achieve these power figures we fitted our own race manifold but retained the stock catback Boost pressure is 8 psi Fuel used was 95 octane however I would recommend using 97 plus for additional margin of safety The kit was fitted and run on our car for 12 months prior to release for sale The ecu included in the kit will if desired be upgradable to a programmable system once available (Same applies to Group N ECU) We are offering a test ride in our own car if the supercharger conversion is something you are considering. Cost is 50.00 which is refundable if you purchase the conversion |

That's a great post - thank you for all of the information.
One thing (and I hope this isn't too off topic), you say that the Group N ECU currently available is upgradeable to a programmable system once available? The only reason I haven't got the ECU is I was waiting for the K-Pro equivalent for the FN2, but it sounds like you're saying I could get the Hondata and just upgrade it somehow when the time comes??!! Correct, you can purchase the Group N ecu now and upgrade to the programmable system when available (Note, it won't be a KPro)

To achieve these power figures we fitted our own race manifold but retained the stock catback.
Looks great. What were the power figures without the race manifold? How much does the standard package cost and how much does the race manifold cost if bought with s/c kit? Did all the ECU functions work i.e. VSA/alarm/temp display etc? |

I don't see any reason not to work all those VSA/alarm/temp ... mentioned.
Guy, Can I install this kit myself (as I'm not from UK) ? How difficult it will be to do it ? When I say myself, let's say an autoshop or maybe a honda dealer . Does this require any other adjustments besides installing the part and replace the ECU ? |

before Guy answers I can shed a little info. as I was considering one too. Apparently the SC can be fitted without the need to move anything around in the bay and it's also straightforward to remove and have the car back as 'stock'. Think it's a 3 day job to fit though.
AFAIK the SC without CPL manifold is circa 270 hp and with around 297 hp @ fly (think the figures on the graphs are at the weheels not fly). There's a review in this mag Japanese Performance Magazine - Shops all we need is some bright spark to scan it so we can all read it Last edited by vanr0x; 4th December 2008 at 17:43. |

Yes, everything works. The ecu is available with either the immobiliser enabled or disabled. If you choose to have it enabled you will need to take the car to a dealer and have the keys coded. The only thing that does not work is the mpg display. This is not unique to the supercharger as it will happen whenever larger injectors are fitted. The stock ecu uses injector pulse width to calculate mpg, this is all screwed up when you fit larger injectors. I would like to point out that the air filter shown in the Japanese Performance article is not what is supplied with the kit, this was purely a temporary measure as JP wanted the car before we had completed the intake. The current price including vat at 15% and fitting is 3995.00 |

Hello,
then works kp/h display correctly? Do you have a photo of the air filter where in the kit is? What is the cost of kit currently without installation? |

thanks pottsy for fixing the photos
3995 is a good price for that increase of bhp and torque, bet it totally transforms the car as it's shown in the graphs. just some more questions: is this induction kit for sale just now to be brought seperately? How long would it take to install the supercharger kit? Every information that deals with mpg doesn't work or is it just one display? thanks |

Installation is 2 days None of the information regarding mpg will work as the cannot calculate mpg due to the different sized injectors. Hope this helps thanks |

thanks for answering my questions, basically your supercharge kit requires no additional modifications other than what you supply.
Sounds like a cracking deal, would the mpg problem be solved if there was a mappable chip for the fn2? |
