Type-R Front Discs
I have been looking at few threads but cant find an answer i am looking for.
I Am replacing my pads with EBC yellow stuff. Do i need to replace my discs aswell ? If so , i dont want to do a big brake upgrade, i just want to replace my standard discs with better ones, who makes these ? |

Don't know if you need to change the disks as well but EBC also do disks for the Type R.
Standard, Turbo Grooved or Ultimax Sport Slotted |

It all depends on how old the disks are. The Yellow stuff will eat through the standard discs quicker if your going to be going on track and braking very hard, very quickly. If the discs have already done a fair distance on the standard pads then I would be replacing them with the EBC discs, which are designed for these pads and you don't have to do the big brake upgrade. Just means your discs will be better for you.
Last thing you want is to have to replace them in a couple of months because they are too worn. Discs being too worn will also impact the stopping power of the car and the pads. |

Thanks Angie for clearing it up for me,will definetly then changing the discs to, just 1 last thing will the Civic 2.0 V-Tec Type-R 2001- discs fit on the FN2 i see this is the only one on their site ? and also , will the EBC standard brake discs be fine or should i rather get turbo groove ones.
