Discounts!

Right, just been for test drive, wow!

Wanna order one now, but two problems, firstly colour?, really stuck, bronze nice but as with black to hard to keep looking clean and nice, so between silver and red.

Then, PRICE, where to start!, is it best to wait till the fuss has died down to look at getting discounts. I certainly am not paying rrp, never have and never will so what should I expect, can I squeeze £1000 off does anyone think, after all I will be having Type-R GT with rage rims, ambient lighting, so looking at just short of £19800, dealers I know for a fact get accessories minus VAT so I always look to have them discounted.

How are people doing at the mo?

I don't see you getting massive discounts at this stage, even with the spec you're looking at. Car is just released and much wanted/desirable. Dealers will be tight until things slow down a little. Unless you absolutely can't wait I suggest waiting for a few months. Up to you.

I only got free superguard, Type R Emblem Set, and Reverse sensor for £100.

I only found out the mats was option after all paper work is done, so now I gotta pay for the mats! Dam it!

I went for Black GT,

The black is hard to resist I must say, but after having a black clio I remember what a pain it is, not just for dirt, but showing fingerprints, chips, "ice skate" scratches, and chips.

I think it's rediculous stickers are £75, they are stickers for christ sake, they should be standard like previous Type-R but customer should have no-cost option to de-badge them.

£200 for ambient lighting, they too are a rip off,

and do i need to mention £225 for an i-pod connector,

disgrace Honda!

Gotta have those lovely red type-r mats though!

really!, are they bad then, it says 8-12 weeks delivery time, they are sourced through uk main dealer so surely delivery time will be exactly the same wont it

all dealers bid for your custom with their lowest price apparently!

I am sure a uk main dealer will be very ken to sell to a broker at a reduced price when they can get full price from a retail customer due to demand on the new model? Think about it its simple economics.

I fell into the same trap when i bought my ep3 CTR ordered from a broker who promised july delivery for £500 cheaper than dealer (with same delivery date) about 4-5 days after i paid my deposit "oh im sorry sir we said july but we really meant november" result was order cancelled!

This wasnt some fly by night broker neither, It was lloyds TSB!

buy from your local dealer. if youu get a problem you can take it back and moan to the sales guy. i had a problem and ended up very happy at the end of it, this would not have been the case if i had bought it that bit cheaper else where.
