IPOD Connection for Type R

I know there is an existing thread on IPOD connectivity - but does anyone have a definitive answer for a hard wired IPOD connection for a 2007 TYPE R GT (without sat nav)??

The dealer advised me NOT to buy the HONDA unit as it didnt work!!

The Honda one is rubbish and fair play to the dealer for admitting same! Look in the 'how-to' section, Pottsy has posted a guide to hardwiring an Aux-in for MP3 players/Ipods.

Read that thread and seemed overly complex - plus there was some confusion as to whether without Sat Nav the loom was required - also bloody expensive esepcially if it doesnt give full integration.

Hasn't any of the aftermarket boys come up with something yet???

No confusion, If you have Sat Nav then you definatley need the Honda loom (or modify the connector as detailed in the Wiki)
