Dead Locks (super locks)

Does anyone know if the FN2 has super/dead locks and how they work?

i pressed the key lock twice on the key... to activate the super locks and as the manual suggested tried opening the door from the inside and suprised that it open from the inside...

does anyone know how to activate super locks if indeed the FN2 has this at all.

Cheers.

Nitin.

Ps i am not living in the UK, non-UK Fn2's may not have this.

What's the purpose for this ?

If I want to protect myself from scary things outside, I just lock the doors with the little button on the drivers side, engage 1st and blast off.

Locking your dog/kids inside while you pay for gas ?

If your car is superlocked it means someone smashing a window cannot open the doors. Their only access - in and out of the car - is the windows. This will inconvenience them somewhat.

I've been double pressing in quick succession (manual says twice in 5 seconds) for the last few weeks, and only having read these superlock threads realised that I should leave a second or two between the presses. So I thought I was deadlocking, but I wasn't.

I press the key twice in quick sucsession (don't wait between presses), you always know you have deadlocked the doors cause you can hear the motors (or what ever they are) in the doors make a noise, once for the first press and then a slightly different noise for the second press.

well if you like to drive with the doors locked than in that case this can be done automatic. There is a setting that lockes the doors when the cars speed reaches 10 miles/hr. See topic in this forum.

Deadlock is an anti theft issue.

Auto locking only works on 2006 Civics, not Type R's.

Standing in the car, pressed the button twice within 5 sec.
Heard the 2 different noises, just like the dead lock was on, but had no problem in opening the car.

It seems it's not working

PS. Non-UK FN2

If I do two quick successive presses, I get the slightly different noise, suggesting the deadlock works.

However, I tested this numerous times, whilst sat in the car yesterday. After two quick successive presses, I could still manually unlock the door and then open it. Leaving a second or two gap between the two presses, this wasn't possible.
