Type-R tyres

Hello members, the e.t.a. on my Type-R is next Thursday or possibly Saturday. Having just yesterday read a thread on the tires issued on newly purchased civics, what brand of tyres should I expect on a Type-R with Rage alloys? Also be interested to know about the brand on 18 inch wheels.

You will be happy with the car matey!

Seems alot of cars came with Continental rubber and there was another brand but can't remember now, may have been Pirelli.

Or if your lucky like myself you may get the Yokohama Advans , very expensive tho to replace unfortunately, although true for all the brands of the 19s but the Advans are the most expensive.

Also the profile is 225/35/19.

Here is a pic:

Please stop posting nice pictures of the Rage 19's. It's unbearable for all us 18"ers

Potenza RE050's on my 18's here too. Can't believe the grip on these things.

Haha sorry matey But most 18"ers prefer the 18"ers, and just think you don't have to pay as much for tyres. Havn't looked to hard but the cheapest I have seen the above Yokos for is £215 per tyre Could replace all the tyres on my old car for that (195/45/16).

Oh the Yokos will be lovely

Got the Advans on my Elise and they are brilliant tyre...

Once my Conti's are worn through - shouldnt be long
Ill be trying to adjust my bank balance towards some yoko's at least for a once during the life of the car....
